What is the price of a catamaran net for a house?
Table of contents
The price of a catamaran net used as a mezzanine, a home net, or a safety railing depends on numerous criteria: dimensions, shape, mesh type, color, and finishes.
At Corderie Gautier, all our nets are custom-made according to your project. As a guideline, our prices start from €78/m² for a professional-quality home net.
There are nets on the market offered starting from €50/m², while other manufacturers display rates that can exceed €130/m², or even more. These differences are explained by the quality of materials used, manufacturing methods, and customization options.
At Corderie Gautier, we only manufacture high-end, custom-made nets.
Price by quote
The actual price of a catamaran net for the home depends on several factors. It is difficult to give you a real estimate without knowing your project and the installation characteristics.
At Corderie Gautier, we take several criteria into account to offer you a net that is perfectly adapted:
- mesh size
- simple or complex shape with cuts
- dimensions
- color
- finishes
- fastening system
It is possible for the net to be cheaper or much more expensive than some competitors, depending on the quality, finishes, customization...
Custom manufacturing
Why is every price different and only available by quote?
Because we do not manufacture standard, mass-produced nets. Each catamaran net is custom-made after studying your project, your technical constraints, and your expectations. This personalized manufacturing allows us to offer you a net perfectly adapted to your space, with a high level of quality, comfort, and safety.
To do this, we are committed to studying each request separately, and carefully verifying all constraints with you, as well as your desires and needs.
Only then do we begin the manufacturing of your net.
The choice of meshes and the net
A home net can be made with several types and sizes of mesh.
For a safety railing net, you can opt for fairly large meshes and even knotted meshes.
But for a mezzanine net, on which you will walk and lie down, we strongly recommend choosing knotless woven meshes, which are smaller and much more comfortable.
The type of mesh, their size, but also the way the net is installed therefore have an impact on manufacturing and price.
It is also important to distinguish a simple home net from a genuine catamaran net. Initially designed for sailboats and multihulls, the catamaran net is made from high-resistance technical materials capable of withstanding significant mechanical stress and intensive use.
It offers excellent support, better stability, and superior comfort.
Unlike some softer nets that can sag under weight, the catamaran net maintains good tension, making it particularly pleasant for walking, lying down, or creating a real relaxation space in the home.
Its cost is therefore higher.
The more or less complex shape
We can create home nets of all sizes and almost all shapes!
Do you want to create a mezzanine net to fill a void above the living room and create a curve? We can do it.
Do you want protection for your staircase with a trapezoidal shape (isometric, symmetric...)? We will manufacture it for you!
Do you need a triangle-shaped net instead? That is also possible.
That is the real value of manufacturing custom nets: we adapt to your desires and your needs. Of course, some shapes are more complex and time-consuming to create than others, which causes the final price of the net to vary.
The shade of the net
Upon request, we can arrange for the textile fiber of the catamaran net to be mass-dyed during manufacturing.
This is a handcrafted process, carried out in the workshop and always custom-made. Consequently, this step takes more or less time depending on the net you have chosen. Above all, some pigments are more expensive and more restrictive than more classic ones.
The customization and choice of color for your catamaran net is a step that varies the final price of your equipment.
