crochet de levage en acier

Lift and move heavy loads easily and safely with these steel hooks.
They have a wide variety of uses on construction and public works sites, for forestry work, in factories, for logistics and in warehouses: loading crates, containers, and machinery.

Lifting Accessory

Hooks are among the accessories used for lifting operations and are often associated with a hoist, crane, steel cable, textile sling, or chain sling.

The type of hook, maximum working load limit, and operating environment must be considered when choosing the right lifting equipment.
Each element contributes to the safety of the equipment and the operators or workers on a site.

Attachment Systems

Several attachment systems and manufacturing materials exist to match different situations and handling needs: hooks with latches, self-locking hooks, eye or swivel hooks, sliding hooks, etc.

Our range of products is in stock and available. If you would like a specific model, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Grade 80 Steel

Lifting equipment, whether chain or hook, is characterized by the grade of the steel, which is related to its breaking strength.
You will find grade 80, 100, or 120 steel.

Grade 80 (or class 8) steel lifting hooks are standard and the most commonly used for handling.
Grade 80 steel equipment is cheaper to manufacture and therefore more economical.

For an equivalent breaking load, a grade 120 steel hook will have a smaller diameter and be lighter than a grade 80 steel model, but it will also be more expensive.

Respecting the WLL

Like all lifting equipment, the hook is part of the rigging and must be used in strict compliance with safety instructions, particularly the WLL: the working load limit.
The technical sheet for each product includes the specifications for each model: diameter, WLL, MLT, breaking strength, weight.

The safety factor is also indicated on the product sheet.

Lifting up to 31.5 tons

Depending on the model and diameter chosen, a lifting hook will be able to lift a load of 1 ton or 2 tons. The most robust and resistant ones can lift loads of up to 31.5 tons. Note that these models are bulkier, heavier, and more difficult to handle, potentially weighing 44 kg each.

Lifting Slings

Lifting hooks are often associated with straps and textile lifting slings to lift and move heavy loads, whether in a warehouse or on a construction site.
For all your professional needs, find our lifting and pulling equipment. Range available in stock.

Towing Hook

Some accessories are also suitable for towing heavy loads using chains, straps, or slings.
In this case, the information is clearly indicated on the product sheet for the towing hook, as well as the MLT to be respected: this is the maximum traction capacity. You will find models with an MLT of up to 63 tons.
