11-a-side Football Net

This is the classic version of football and the most common in clubs.
On a full pitch with 2 teams, a size 5 ball and two goals: that's why we sell goal nets in pairs.
The size of the goal is always the same in width (7.32m) and height (2.44m).
The shape, however, will change, trapezoidal or square, which requires choosing the right football net.

8-a-side Football

8-a-side football follows the same rules as 11-a-side football, but on a smaller pitch with reduced goals and a size 4 ball.
The FFF has abandoned 7-a-side football to replace it with 8-a-side: 7 players and 1 goalkeeper.
It is played on a half-pitch and is practiced by both juniors and seniors.
8-a-side football is very suitable for leisure training and small team matches.

Mini Football Goals

For leisure, playing with friends, holiday camps, and sporting events, the mini-goal allows you to play football easily and quickly almost anywhere.
They are suitable for children and young people, as well as adults. Here, there are no imposed rules.
Mini-goals can be removable or not. Some are very compact, easy to dismantle and reassemble quickly.

They are more economical than models for training or competition, but also manufactured more simply and with less demanding specifications: these nets are intended for occasional and recreational use.

How to choose your football net?

For football clubs, sports centers, stadiums, or communities (town halls, inter-municipalities) that want to replace nets on a pitch, here are some tips for choosing the right model for your goals.

Game Category

On a full pitch for 11-a-side football, the classic version, the goals are standard size:
7.32m wide and 2.44m high.

For 8-a-side football (formerly 7-a-side), it's on a half-pitch with smaller goals:
6m wide and 2.10m high.

11-a-side or 8-a-side football is therefore the first point to check before ordering a net.

If in doubt, measure your goals to be sure to order a net with the correct dimensions.

Goal Shape

In the vast majority of cases, there are 2 goal shapes:
The European goal, or square
The classic goal, or trapezoidal

The width, height, and depth at the base are always identical.
However, the depth of the top will vary: 2m for a European goal, 1m for a trapezoidal goal.

Training or Competition

Depending on whether your club, municipality, or sports center organizes matches for leisure and low-intensity training, or competitive matches and frequent and intense training, the requirements for the manufacturing of the football net are not the same.

Leisure:
A rope of 2mm or 3mm diameter is sufficient.
With or without knots (braided or twisted), both types of design will be suitable. You can therefore opt for polypropylene or polyethylene.

Match and Competition:
For better resistance against shots, prefer a double mesh of 2mm or a single mesh of 3mm.
Braided cord with knots is suitable for training, but for more intense use and frequent matches, knotless braided rope is preferable.

High Competition and High Intensity:
For frequent and intense competitions and training, the net must resist shots and impacts from balls.
Choose a single 4mm knotless braided mesh, or a net with hexagonal meshes, also known as "honeycomb".
These nets are of very high quality and very resistant; they are designed for high competition.

In all cases, whether the nets are made of polypropylene or high-density polyethylene, they are rot-proof and UV-treated.
