Are you looking to install a beautiful catamaran net to furnish your interior or exterior, and enjoy a large relaxation net with its colorful meshes?
How can you ensure that the living net retains its beautiful color for many years?
Limit sun exposure
You probably already know this, but the greatest enemy of colors is prolonged exposure to sunlight.
UV rays will indeed alter colors and cause the net to lose its beautiful hue.
You can easily and quickly observe this on any decorative object placed against a very exposed window, or any garden equipment that remains constantly outdoors.
There is no special or miraculous solution here. That's why we only recommend certain colors for outdoor installation.
Choose an appropriate color
Indoors, in the house or in a loft, your catamaran net will be better protected from sunlight and UV rays. You can therefore choose from many colors to enjoy superb interior decoration: white, ivory, gray, red, blue, pink, yellow... Whatever you want.
However, a small nuance: if you install the living net facing a very large bay window exposed to the south, the impact on the textile fibers will be the same as for an outdoor installation.
For the garden or on a terrace, we recommend choosing a color for your outdoor net that is less sensitive to UV rays.
Mainly, these will be: white, black, gray, or beige.
Of course, nothing prevents you from installing a blue or orange living net in your garden. But be aware that due to constant exposure to sunlight, it will very quickly lose its beautiful color.
Do not use products
To maintain and clean your catamaran net, whether installed indoors or outdoors, we strongly advise against using any products and especially detergents.
The chemical and cleaning products you can buy in stores will indeed weaken the fiber and, most importantly, risk quickly discoloring the net.
Nothing beats a simple wipe with a cloth to remove dust.
If dirt has settled on the net or if it is stained, we recommend using only a damp cloth with water, or a little dish soap or hand soap. This will be less aggressive for the textile fiber and preserve it longer.
