At Corderie Gautier, we manufacture all types of climbing ropes.
Frequently ordered and standardized models, or completely custom-made: length, diameter, attachment... Made in France.
Lengths from 2 to 10m and all possible diameters.

Smooth Rope

The smooth rope is an essential accessory for effectively strengthening the upper body and developing arm strength.
While this exercise may seem easy watching athletes, it is actually physically and mentally challenging. Rope climbing on a smooth rope is a must-have test for military personnel, and very popular among firefighters, police officers...

Knotted Rope

A knotted rope greatly facilitates climbing: each knot allows you to use your feet for support to propel your entire body.
These ropes are therefore more intended for leisure, or for beginning training before moving on to a smooth rope.
These knotted climbing ropes are found both in private homes, in the garden for example, and in parks and fitness trails.

Indoor or Outdoor

All our ropes can be installed both indoors and outdoors.
The upper end is always equipped with a thimble and a ring, both made of marine stainless steel offering very high corrosion resistance.
The ropes are made either 100% from natural hemp or from synthetic hemp (textured polypropylene).

Note that natural hemp is sensitive to humidity and deteriorates quickly if exposed to rain. Preferably installed indoors.
Synthetic hemp, on the other hand, is very water-resistant and does not rot.
With its stainless steel fastening, it is therefore perfectly suited for outdoor use.

Gyms, Tree-Top Adventure Parks, Leisure Activities...

You can equip all kinds of facilities with these climbing ropes.
Gyms for sports practice at school (middle school, high school), in sports halls and clubs, for the training of professionals who must always maintain excellent physical condition (firefighters, police officers...).
The smooth or knotted climbing rope, especially in textured polypropylene, is also very suitable for creating a fitness trail or challenges in a tree-top adventure park.

To create training courses with good physical intensity, the climbing net perfectly complements existing obstacles, for working the arms and legs.

Physiotherapy and Exercise

We also manufacture quite short climbing ropes, 2 or 3 meters.
A small 2m smooth rope can thus be installed indoors in a physiotherapist's office or at home in one's garage, under a porch or a tree.
Without going as far as high-level training, this allows you to work on the strength and musculature of the arms and upper body.

Frequently Asked Questions

Your frequently asked questions for safe and effective use
