Marline
Marline is a nautical term for a rope generally composed of 3 or 4 strands twisted together and coated with natural tar. This is a spool of 3-strand marline.
The properties of Norway tar provide better protection for the rope against bad weather, especially water, which is essential at sea.
Marline is very useful for riggers who maintain and repair old rigging: it is used for caulking the live works or dead works on wooden ships.
Unlike hemp oakum, this tarred marline has the advantage of being ready to use, without the need to twist the fiber.
The pine tar used is 100% natural and additive-free.
Sold in 1kg balls, approximately 50 meters long.
For gardening
This natural hemp rope can also be used for your DIY and gardening work.
A natural, non-polluting and totally biodegradable product, it will be used to support your shrubs or tomato plants in an organic way.
Luzin
We can also offer 2-strand tarred Luzin by order.
