Aerotowing

The aerotowing method requires a strong, easily coilable cable.

Designed for towing gliders, this custom-made tow cable is made from synthetic textile fibers made of polyester and polypropylene, offering an excellent balance between strength and lightness.

With an elongation of around 10%, it effectively absorbs stress during towing phases.

Resistant to water, UV rays, and outdoor conditions, it maintains its performance over time.

Its breaking load of 2 tonnes (2,000 daN) guarantees high reliability for towing operations.

Highly resistant cable for gliders

Featuring high tensile strength and low elongation, this cable meets the specific requirements of aeronautical towing. Its red color ensures excellent visibility on the ground, in the grass as well as on airfield runways.

Made from a blend of polyester and polypropylene, it has been specially designed for the needs of glider pilots. Polyester helps to cushion shocks while maintaining excellent dimensional stability.

This rope absorbs almost no water: even after passing through wet grass or over wet ground, it does not become heavier and retains all its handling and performance qualities.
