A climbing rope designed to stay outdoors
The synthetic hemp knotted rope combines the warm look and natural feel of traditional hemp with the performance of a technical fiber. The textured polypropylene does not rot, does not absorb moisture, and is UV resistant: your rope can stay in place all year round, come rain or shine, without hardening or degrading.
It can be installed on a swing set, a tree branch, a structural beam, or a playground structure.
Why knots instead of a smooth rope?
Regularly spaced knots offer firm footholds and handholds. Climbing becomes accessible to a much wider audience: children, beginners, and occasional users. Where a smooth rope requires military-grade physical conditioning, a knotted rope allows for the creation of equipment and challenges that are both demanding and achievable.
It is the go-to piece of equipment for garden swing sets, high ropes courses, amusement parks, gyms with high ceilings, and multi-activity courses.
Handcrafted in France
Each rope is handmade in our workshops, using rope of French origin. The splices are made manually, without the addition of plastic parts: the finish is clean, flexible, and durable, unlike the crimped terminations found on entry-level products.
Fixing included
Depending on the chosen finish, the rope is delivered ready to use with its attachment system: marine stainless steel ring and thimble (very high corrosion resistance), simple spliced loop, or stainless steel shackle. No complex assembly is required.
Safety
The greater the attachment height, the more precautions are essential. Provide an appropriate landing area under the rope (gym mats, soft ground, wood chips, or sand) and, for less experienced users, a harness and belay rope. Regularly check the condition of the rope, knots, and anchor point. Rope delivered with its usage precautions.
