Double braid simply means that the core of the halyard is braided and the cover is also braided.

16-strand cover for diameters from 6 to 12mm.
24-strand cover for diameters greater than 14mm.

Easy to splice

Due to its ease of splicing, this halyard is a favorite among riggers.
Indeed, it is often more difficult to make a spliced eye on a double braided rope than on a laid rope.
But with this pre-stretched halyard, a splice remains simple to do with a little practice.
