Pre-stretched polyester halyard and sheet
made of polyester composed of 100% polyester fibers, 3 parallel strands.
The "pearl" braiding of the cover is made of 32 strands for better grip in rope clutches.
This halyard is very dynamic, slightly stiff, which ensures a much longer lifespan.
This rope can be used as both a halyard and a sheet to maneuver your sails.
For cruising, polyester is very suitable for mainsail and genoa halyards (and spinnaker, of course).
To choose your halyard or sheet well, refer to the table below, especially regarding the breaking load.
For example, a 10mm halyard will have a breaking load of 2800 daN.

Use on the boat
For recreational boating, this polyester rope offers a very good quality-price ratio.
The pre-stretching of the halyard stabilizes the fibers and prevents unforeseen and undesirable elongation during the first use. Your rope is stable and reliable.
This polyester halyard has an elongation of about 4 to 7%, a performance quite sufficient for cruising.
If possible, oversize your halyard to make it work at only 25% of its breaking load, and further reduce elongation.
Differentiating colors
Available in many colors to help you identify your maneuvers.
We advise you to choose one color per halyard, for each of your sails, to identify them immediately at the foot of the mast.
For your mainsail or headsail (jib/genoa) sheet, it is not essential to have different colors. Some people still prefer to have a port sheet color and a starboard sheet color.

Protecting your rope
At chafe points, you can protect your polyester halyard by over-sheathing it with a Dyneema cover.
