Pure Dyneema / Dynalight
High-performance Dyneema® braid for demanding loads
The Dynalight braid is made of Dyneema® (HMPE – High Modulus Polyethylene), a technical fiber renowned for its exceptional strength-to-weight ratio. Its 12-strand braided construction ensures flexibility, ease of splicing, and excellent mechanical strength.
Unlike traditional polyester or polyamide ropes, pure Dyneema® has very low elongation, guaranteeing optimal control under load. It is also rot-proof, hydrophobic, and floats, making it an ideal choice for wet, marine, or outdoor environments.
Its lightness facilitates handling and improves safety of use compared to traditional wire rope. It is a pre-lubricated braid with a polyurethane coating. This protection improves fiber retention and increases wear resistance.
This textile rope floats on water, making it particularly practical for all nautical applications.
Ideal for winching, boating and industrial applications
Thanks to its high breaking strength, low elongation, and high resistance to abrasion and UV, Dyneema® rope is suitable for many sectors of activity.
Versatile and high-performing, it is a reliable alternative to steel cables and traditional ropes in demanding environments.
Discover below the main areas of use and the recommended diameters depending on the applications:
- Create high-strength soft shackles and textile shackles (recommended diameter 3 to 6 mm).
- Used as a replacement for lifelines (diameter 5 or 6 mm).
- Replace a steel winch cable by using it as a textile cable for 4x4 winches (diameter 8 to 10 mm) or quads (diameter 6 or 8 mm).
- Used as forestry cable (diameter 14 or 16 mm).
- Plasma rope (diameter 8, 10 or 12 mm)
- Running backstay / backstay (diameter 8 mm)
- As a slurry scraper rope, much stronger and more durable than a standard rope (diameter 8 to 14 mm).
Please note: For uses under permanent tension, we recommend choosing the All Black braid.
