Usage tips

Plug in the Engel hot knife and wait about ten seconds for it to reach its maximum temperature, necessary for a clean and sharp cut.

Use it discontinuously: cut one rope or halyard after another by releasing the trigger. During use, the casing heats up and quickly gets hot to the hand.
Discontinuous use makes the work much more pleasant.

Do not use on natural fiber ropes, such as hemp or cotton!
This tool is specially designed for synthetic textile fibers.
