This insect net is suitable for fighting the flies that attack olive trees and cause devastation, potentially destroying a harvest for olive growers.
The olive fruit fly, Bactrocera Oleae, can destroy up to 80% of olive harvests, rendering them unsellable.
The insect net forms a physical barrier between the tree and the adult fly: the female cannot reach the olive tree to lay her eggs.
This olive tree fly net also stops other insects that could attack the tree or the olives.
