Practical guide: how to choose the right privacy screen

Guide: How to choose your privacy screen

What level of opacity should I choose?

The opacity level corresponds to the percentage of the surface area covered by the weave, which determines how much visibility and light is filtered out:

  • 60-70%: light opacity, lets plenty of light through, suitable for breaking the wind without completely blocking the view.
  • 80-85%: good balance of privacy and brightness, suitable for a balcony or small terrace with moderate overlooking.
  • 90% and up (like this 92% model): almost total opacity, ideal for direct views from neighbors or the street, while still allowing for slight airflow, unlike a solid panel.

What height should I choose?

  • 1.50 m: sufficient for maintaining privacy while seated (terrace, garden furniture).
  • 2 m: covers privacy while standing, the most versatile standard.
  • 3 m: for large fences, professional use, or to block an elevated view (overlooking from a higher floor).

What finish should I choose based on the support?

  • Eyelets every 25 cm: reinforced attachment, recommended in case of frequent wind or for long lengths.
  • Eyelets every 50 cm: sufficient for standard use, more economical in terms of fastening accessories.
  • Raw (without eyelets): best if you plan to attach it using staples or rivets rather than fasteners.

Which material should I prefer for outdoor use?

Knitted HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene), like that of this net, is the standard for permanent outdoor use: it resists UV rays and moisture without stiffening or tearing over time, unlike low-end polypropylene nets.

Product details

Protect your privacy with this 92% privacy screening mesh, ideal for gardens, terraces, and balconies. UV and weather resistant, it is available in 8 colors and cut to your desired length.

92% privacy mesh: almost total seclusion

Is your garden exposed to neighbors' views, your terrace overlooked, or your fence too transparent? With its very high 92% shading rate, this privacy screen mesh allows you to enjoy your outdoor spaces with complete peace of mind.

Its dense fabric almost entirely hides what is on the other side, while still allowing for slight airflow. You benefit from effective protection against prying eyes, without the completely enclosed feeling of an opaque panel.

Designed to stay outdoors all year round, this mesh is water and UV resistant. A practical solution for long-lasting coverage for chain-link fences, rigid fencing, or railings.

8 colors to complement any outdoor space

A privacy screen should protect your intimacy, but also harmonize with your exterior design.

That is why our privacy mesh is offered in 8 colors: black, dark green, dark gray, light gray, white, coral, ivory, and brown.

Darker shades blend naturally into fences and wooded gardens. Light gray or ivory add a brighter touch, particularly suited to contemporary homes. For an exterior that stands out, coral offers a more original alternative.

Custom-cut privacy mesh, ready to install

Why buy a whole roll when you can order exactly the length you need?

Our custom-cut privacy mesh is available in three heights: 1.50 m, 2 m, or 3 m. Choose your height, then indicate the desired length in the quantity selector. For example, to order 7 linear meters, select a quantity of 7.

To facilitate installation, the mesh features a reinforced strip with eyelets, spaced at your choice of 25 or 50 cm. This finish allows for uniform attachment to your support and contributes to the mesh's longevity.

Flexible and easy to handle, it can be installed just as easily on a garden fence as on a pergola or a balcony railing.

Photos are not contractually binding.

How to install the privacy screen

The netting attaches easily thanks to its reinforced band with eyelets, by tensioning it onto your support (rigid fencing, panels, pergola, balustrade) using cable ties, tension wire, or hooks. Choose the eyelet spacing (every 25 cm or every 50 cm) based on the desired fixing strength, or opt for the raw version without eyelets if you are planning another installation method (stapling, rivets).

Frequently Asked Questions

Your most frequently asked questions for safe and effective use
