This button lanyard is sold ready-made and ready to use, so you don't have to make your own shackles with rope and a spliced eye.

Dyneema is known for its excellent breaking strength and low stretch: your shackle will not budge.
On a boat, a soft shackle perfectly replaces stainless steel shackles: lighter, easier to handle.

The soft shackle can also replace a sheet snap shackle, should it open while you are at sea.
