Create a rope railing
Do you want to delimit a staircase descent and prevent the risk of falls? Why not use rope?
While it is not strictly a handrail in the regulatory sense, this solution is economical, easy to install, and allows for an infinite variety of styles.
The rope used can be of all colors, different materials, and different diameters. The most important thing is to choose one strong enough to hold a person: the rope should not break at the slightest shock or pressure.

Install a mezzanine net

Choose a thick rope, of a sufficient diameter for an adult to firmly grasp. At Corderie Gautier, we offer several thick natural or synthetic ropes perfectly suited for creating a stair railing.
Our preference might be for hemp rope, with its visible fibers and very natural look.

In good weather, you certainly want to enjoy your outdoor space: reading a good book, taking a nap, or simply resting for a few minutes in the sun is very pleasant.
Instead of building a full wooden or concrete slab and stone terrace, you could incorporate an outdoor net!
Depending on the design and height of your terrace, the net will be suspended more or less high above the ground. It can perfectly fill a gap in a suspended wooden terrace, or simply fill a space in the heart of a concrete slab.
