Sisal rope

Eco-friendly

Sisal is a rope made from sisalana agave, a plant found mainly in Mexico and South America. The fiber extracted from the leaves of the agave has also taken this name.

Sisal rope is 100% natural, untreated, and perfectly biodegradable.
This environmentally friendly product can be used to make various objects with a limited ecological impact: carpets, fabrics (for clothing in some Asian countries), etc.
This material is very suitable for building furniture, camp structures, or huts using the Froissart method: without nails or screws, which is still practiced by scouts, among others.

In your garden for DIY or landscaping, it will release no polluting particles and will end up in the compost once degraded.
Sisal is also often used in the energy and wood sectors because it is non-polluting and blends well with wood.
While sisal rope is resistant to abrasion, it is not very durable over time and will need to be replaced regularly.

Decorative Rope

Light beige or off-white in color and with a straw-like appearance, sisal rope adds a simple, natural, and even rustic touch to your decor.
It is increasingly used for flooring, like seagrass.
As twine and cord, it can be used to create or decorate objects in every room of the house.

Cat Tree Rope

If you have a cat, it will love to scratch on a sisal-covered post.
And nothing could be simpler than making it yourself: a piece of untreated wood (to stay within eco-friendly materials), sisal rope wrapped and glued all around... and there you go.
Sisal will long resist your cat's claws, allowing them to let off steam without damaging the furniture.

Cheaper than Hemp

Among the natural fibers very often found in interior decoration, hemp rope is often an excellent choice: soft, with a unique and wild appearance...
However, sisal is cheaper than hemp and can therefore be an excellent alternative for both interior decor and the garden.
