Textile cable for guying, light and easy to handle.
The textile cable made of high tenacity aramid fibers (Kevlar or Technora brands) is very resistant to traction and very static: low elongation and no creep.
It ideally replaces a steel or stainless steel cable.
Advantages
Non-rotating, does not kink or deform.
Breaking strength superior to steel for an equivalent diameter.
Lightweight and easy to handle cable.
Very low elongation at break: < 3.5%
Very static fiber: no creep
Heat resistant.
Aramid fiber has excellent tensile strength, making it ideal for making a stay, replacing a steel or stainless steel cable.
This textile fiber stay cable can be used on a sailboat, but also to hold an antenna, a shade sail, or even a tree.
Features
Stay cable made of aramid fibers (Kevlar; Technora)
Melting temperature: 450°C
Depending on your needs, we also sheath this textile cable to better protect it and extend its lifespan: aramid fiber is sensitive to UV rays.
Splice on thimble
We custom-make your splices on stainless steel thimbles directly in our workshops.
On a sailboat, shrouds are cables used to hold the mast in a vertical position. They are attached to each side of the mast.
