Luminous decoration
Corderie Gautier invites you to create your own light garland with rope.
Made of Manila hemp, natural hemp rope or synthetic (plastic/imitation hemp), cotton, or even 3-strand polyamide or polyester. The possibilities are endless.
The main thing is to have a laid rope!
Whether you're a Sunday DIYer or a certified expert, the garland is easy to make by hand. The rope is flexible, pliable and easy to unlay.
All you need is a laid rope of your choice and a light garland that is roughly the same length as your rope. For the light garland, it should be equipped with LEDs, preferably white, for a brighter effect. However, there's nothing to stop you from choosing the color you like best.
It will take approximately one hour to make a light garland of about 10 meters. We recommend a rope with a diameter of 20 cm. This is what we chose to create our light garland.
How to make your rope garland
The technique is quite simple: all you have to do is twist the garland into the rope.
First, you need to start at the end of the garland wire and the rope.
Unroll your rope in the opposite direction to separate the strands. After that, you'll gradually insert your garland. And that's it!
Finally, as explained at the beginning of the article, there's nothing to stop you from making it just for the Christmas holidays and putting it on your tree. You can give it any shape you want and hang it in your living room as an indoor decoration or even place it outside your house to illuminate your garden or your front door.
You can position it wherever you want and however you want. It's easily transportable and can be incorporated into any decor.
